Exhibit Space Rules and Usage Guidelines
The North American Shipwreck & Dive Show is the premier exposition of scuba diving, shipwreck exploration and dive travel in the Great Lakes region. These rules are intended to promote a safe, secure and pleasant experience for our Exhibitors as well as our attendees.
Definitions
"Show" means the North American Shipwreck & Dive Show™.
"NASDS" means North American Shipwreck & Dive Show, Inc., a Michigan non-profit corporation. NASDS owns the Show.
"JCC" means the building and premises, including exhibit halls, presentation rooms, lobby, entrance area, pool, hallways, food service areas, restrooms, grounds, parking lots, and air space of the Jewish Community Center of Metropolitan Detroit, 6600 West Maple Road, West Bloomfield, MI 48322.

Payments and Cancellations
Full payment by credit card or check payable to NASDS is due with the signed Exhibitor Space Rental Agreement.
NASDS will retain one half of the rental fee as liquidated damages if the Rental Agreement is cancelled after January 31, 2006.
Products Displayed
No products or displays of an illegal, offensive or discriminatory nature are permitted. NASDS and the JCC staff have the absolute right to determine whether any product or display violates this requirement.
All products on display must conform to all applicable federal, state or other laws and regulations.
No products may be displayed or sold which infringe on any third party's patent, trademark or copyright interests.
NASDS reserves the right to bar the display or advertisement of any product which, in its sole judgement, violates these Rules or is not appropriate for the Show.
Exhibit Space Assignment
NASDS will try to accommodate Exhibitor's requests for specific exhibit spaces. However, NASDS reserves the right to arrange or rearrange exhibit space assignments at any time to promote the best interests of the Show.
Exhibitors may not assign, share or sublet their assigned exhibit spaces without written permission from NASDS.
Exhibitors may not display or advertise any products except those stated on the Exhibitor Space Rental Agreement.
Admission Wristbands and Badges
No one will be admitted to a Presentation Room without a Show wristband. Each Exhibitor will be given two Show wristbands. Additional Show wristbands can be purchased at the ticket desk in the lobby.
No one will be admitted to the Pool area without a Pool wristband. Pool wristbands will be distributed without charge at the ticket desk to each person signing the Pool Waiver.
No one will be admitted to the Exhibitor Lounge without an Exhibitor ID badge. NASDS will provide Exhibitors with ID badges for each person listed by the Exhibitor in the Exhibitor Space rental Agreement. Exhibitor ID badges may not be sold or transferred to anyone else for any reason.
Exhibitor Activities and Conduct
NASDS reserves the right to restrict activities of Exhibitors to a reasonable noise level and to suitable methods of operation and display of materials.
Exhibitors may not conduct any activities or have in their exhibit space any materials which create a fire hazard.
Exhibitors and their personnel must conduct themselves in an appropriate manner. Exhibitors and their personnel may not enter any other exhibit space without permission from the Exhibitor, and may not enter other exhibit spaces that are not staffed.
Exhibitors may not obstruct, interfere with or hinder other Exhibitors.
Exhibitors may sell products at the Show, provided that the Exhibitor complies with all applicable laws and regulations, including Michigan sales tax.
Exhibitors must confine their activities, including advertising, displays, and distribution of literature or premiums to the immediate vicinity of their assigned exhibit space.
No alcoholic beverages are permited at the Show or anywhere in the JCC buildings or on the JCC grounds.
No smoking is permitted inside the JCC buildings.
No Exhibitor or Presenter may advocate racism, terrorism or violence.
No fund raising, solicitation for donations, gambling or unlawful activities are permitted.
NASDS reserves the right to remove any offensive exhibit or to bar from the premises anyone whose conduct may be detrimental to the best interests of the Show.
Non-Profit Exhibitors
Non-Profit and Public Service Organizations are offered a special discounted rate for rental of an exhibit space. This offer is intended solely to afford such exhibitors the opportunity to inform people about the exhibitor's organization or to promote the exhibitor's public purpose.
Non-Profit and Public Service Organizations renting space at this discounted rate may not promote specific products, manufacturers, retail establishments, individuals or services, and may not offer products for sale at the Show unless all monies collected benefit such organization directly.
Any Non-Profit or Public Service Organization intending to promote specific products, manufacturers, retail establishments, individuals or services, must pay full price for an exhibit space.
Displays
All electrical wiring must be three-wire grounded. Electrical cords which touch the floor must be "SO" cord (minimum 14 gauge) which is insulated to qualify for "extra hard usage." Electrical cords which do not touch the floor may be "SJ" which is rated for "hard usage." Cube taps are prohibited. Multi-outlet power strips must have an internal circuit breaker.
All displays and exhibits must be free-standing. Exhibitors may not attach anything to the walls or floors of the exhibit areas.
No light fixtures are permitted outside the confines of the exhibit space. All light fixtures must not generate excessive heat. sealed halogen bulbs up to 75 watts are allowed. Uncovered halogen or quartz light bulbs are prohibited.
All unfinished or open sides of an exhibit that may appear unsightly must be covered up. Exhibits and displays should be positioned and finished so as not to detract from adjoining exhibits.
